		Dear Colleagues,

Inspite of the progress of PHYSICS towards understanding the SMALL and
the LARGE, the SIMPLER and the MORE COMPLICATED, towards creating new
INFORMATION CARRIERS and refined PHYSICAL MODELS in DECISION MAKING,
towards finding NEW KINDS of RESOURCES and new ways to SAVE the existing
ones, progress of PHYSICS having a significant social impact, the human
resources background of PHYSICS are now in danger, both in highschool
and in university.
Therefore I suggest to discuss at the EPS12-Roundtable, at the Plennary
meeting and/or at the EDUCATION and the 12th E.P.S.12 Symposia:
	1. What may and have the E.P.S. to do, to face this danger with a long
run impact on the whole society?
	2. What would be the actions of E.P.S.to help and lobby to be declared
2005 as an INTERNATIONAL YEAR of PHYSICS and to be a success for
PHYSICS?
	3. How could E.P.S. help and lobby the Conference of the Ministers of
Education of Berlin, in September 2003, to pay attention to the present
position of PHYSICS in general and specialized education?
Thanking you for your attention, I am,
			Yours Friendly,
